Siem Reap
Being the nearest city to the Angkor Wat, the world famous monument, Siem Reap become a popular tourist destination. There are around one hundred temples in the surroundings that you can visit. The city has Chinese-style architecture and colonial influences. The town also offers diverse entertaining activities and places to visit like the bird sanctuary near the Tonle Sap Lake or the nearby crocodile farm in the south. You can walk around to see the city even by night, it's quite calm and friendly and in case you get bored try the huge natural reservoir, Tonle Sap, south of Siem Reap or Banteau Chhmar located north of Angkor Wat.

Phnom Penh
The "Pearl of Asia", Phnom Penh is the capital of Cambodia and along Siem Reap a significant tourist destination. Some of the main attractions in Phnom Penh include the Royal Palace, Phsar Thom Thmei, the Silver Pagoda, the Cambodia-Vietnam Friendship Monument, the Toul Sleng Genocide Museum, the National Museum, Independence Monument. For a great view over the city you can go to the Wat Phnom and the Silva Pagoda from the Royal Palace. Here, at the Royal Palace complex you can see the emerald Buddha and a Buddha made of solid gold.
